sockets, web server

Post by joerg » Wed Jan 21, 2009 4:04 pm

Hello,

many Prolog compilers allow the programmer to use sockets. I think a compiler-neutral socket object would be a great enhancement for the Logtalk library. I even dare to dream of a compiler-neutral web server object ... Porting the web server of Swi would be one way of implementing this.

I definitely agree. I was discussing this with Paulo only a few days ago. Logtalk seems very well-suited to semantic web applications. For example, see Yves Raimond's http://moustaki.org/swic/ and other projects at the BBC.
