Add the Logtalk mime-type to the shared-mime-info database (http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Softwar ... -mime-info). This database is used e.g. in Linux distribution to identify files with a .lgt extension as Logtalk source files, allowing for meaningful behavior when double-cliking the files. Some preliminary work is available on the FreeDesktop Bugzilla database: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16443.
P.S. The current Logtalk installers for Linux (.deb and .rpm) and for MacOS X (.pkg) already add a custom mime-type for Logtalk source files as an interim solution. Adding the logtalk mime-type to the shared-mime-info database would provide a definitive solution and would simplify the installers.
